More Progress Pictures of the Addition

Here are some recent pictures of the ongoing construction project of our addition.  The brickwork matches perfectly from the old part to the new part.  On the inside, barriers have been put up over in the fellowship hall so as not to get dust everywhere from the construction work.  As you can see, you can't get back into the hallway where the Nursery, bathrooms and Children's I department was.  You can't walk straight through the church anymore.  Thank goodness there was another door over in the Sunday School department to be able to get to the Children's I, Children's II and Youth Department.  The Mary and Martha Class is using the made-over 4's and 5's room as their class room now as their old room is going to be come the new library.  Nursery is now being held in "Miss Nancy's Room" over behind the choir room. 

Our new completion date is July 15th, or basically - the middle of July.  Unfortunately, we won't be able to use the new space for VBS this year since it starts on July 13th.  (More info on that later, tho.)

Annual SBA Picnic

May 16th is the Annual Picnic for the Shenandoah Baptist Association. This is the 8th year for the picnic and will begin at 3:00 at Sherando Park just outside of Winchester. There will be a cake baking contest and the Preachers are the judges! I know you don't want to let Dr. Hall down, so get out those tried and true recipes!!!

Yardwork/Clean Up Day

We are having a day of cleaning up the churchyards on May 9th starting at 9am. This is primarily for the men since the women are excused to attend the Mother's Day Brunch. Thanks for giving your time and endeavor!

Mothers Day Brunch!

The Fellowship Ministry Team is sponsoring a lovely brunch on Saturday May 9th at 10am.  If you can't bring your Mom, bring another special woman in your life.  See you there!

Easter Egg Hunt Pictures

Well, it rained on our egg hunt day, so we moved the hunt to indoors at the church. We had 26 kids hunting eggs and a great time was had by all! Thank you to all the parents who brought your kids!!

SALT Trip!!

I wish to remind you of the SALT Trip on Friday, April 17th.
We are going to New Market Maryland. We are leaving at 9am
and the sign up sheet is in the back of the sanctuary.
If we need extra cars then we can take our car.
If anyone knows a good place to eat or anything we need to see let me know.
