Financial Peace University begins 9/27/09

Charles Town Baptist Church is going to start another FPU class at the church starting 9/27/09 at 5:30pm. Financial Peace University is a life-changing program that teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. You'll be empowered with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve your financial goals and experience true financial peace!

We may adjust the time to a little later and double up a class because of the Holidays.
We also will have a sign up sheet in the back of the sanctuary. The cost is about $99.00 per couple/family.

8:30am Service Nursery Volunteers

Hey there! Please see Dr. Hall if you are able to volunteer your time for childcare during the 8:30am service. We are having families with small children attend the service and we are looking for someone to take care of the smaller children during that hour. Thanks!

Called Business Meeting

The Deacons have called a business meeting immediately following the 11:00 service on August 9th for the purpose of voting on the new pastor's benefit/salary package. Please try to attend this important meeting. Thank you!

ESL Teachers Luncheon Meeting

If you are a teacher/worker/assistant of the ESL program, please plan to attend this luncheon meeting so plans can be made and the next scholastic year can be organized. 2009 Music and Drama Day Camp - Aug 3 - 7!!

Don't forget to get your kids signed up for this year's music and drama day camp at Charles Town Baptist Church. The title is American Ideal, A Children's Musical about Humility.

Overview:

Lights! Camera! Ego! Well, that is, if you’re a contestant on one of the many “Reality TV” shows filling the airwaves today. Entertaining? Maybe. Harmless? Hardly.

The American Ideal shines the spotlight on 4 contestants who are competing to be the next “American Ideal”. Tonight’s theme is “Gospel Music Night”. During the production of this live TV show, contestants Willa Wynn, Anita Ward, and Neil Down discover, with the help of fellow contestant, Emma Tate, the truth about themselves as “Reality TV” takes on a whole new meaning. This humorous, tongue-in-cheek look at fame, fortune and flim-flam turns popular culture on its head and shines the spotlight of God’s truth about humility on the heart of contestants and audience alike.

Registration has been extended to Monday, July 20th! You can sign up when you are dropping off your child this week for VBS, too!!
