Music & Drama Day Camp Info ~

Monday, July 30th - Friday, August 3rd 9:00 a.m. to noon for children K-5th grade. The musical drama "Amazing wonders Aviation" will be presented on Friday, August 3rd at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is also invited to refreshments following the program. Thank you to each volunteer who is helping with Music & Drama Day Camp. Please see Donna Coyle after services for staff assignments and to return your emergency information. Week of Prayer and Ingathering for SBA Missions:

The Week of Prayer is July 15-22nd, with the Ingathering for this mission on Sunday, July 22nd. The theme is the Marathon of Ministry to help Hispanic Ministries in the Shenandoah Valley. Please see insert for more information. Thank you!

Piano Recital

The students of Mrs. Donna Coyle will be performing in the 20th Annual Piano Recital here in the sanctuary at Charles Town Baptist Church on Sunday, May 20th at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and enjoy these talented students!

Mothers Day Luncheon

The youth and youth leaders are planning to honor our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, cousins, and friends by serving them a wonderful luncheon on Saturday, May 12th at 12:30 p.m. Be on the lookout for a signup sheet to appear in the back of the sanctuary for you to sign up to attend! This is a way for our youth to thank those women who have had a positive influence in their lives and to thank them for all they do.

FYI..........

The Associate Pastor Search Team is pleased to invite Mr. Jonathan Pearson to come visit our church in view of a call to the position of Part-Time Associate Pastor for Children and Youth. Jonathan will be with us on April 22nd, to tour our children's and youth ministries, and on Friday, April 27th, at 6:30 p.m. we will have an open question and answer session, in which you may learn more about our candidate. During our regular services on April 29th, he will address the church during the worship hour, and the church will have a brief special business meeting to vote to extend a call for Jonathan to join the staff.

Paul and Betty are together again

Services for Paul Chidester are scheduled as follows; Visitation with the family will be at Eackles-Spencer Funeral home on Thursday the 16th, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be at Eackles-Spencer on Friday the 17th, 10 am, followed by a bereavement luncheon at CTBC Fellowship Hall, then procession to Philippi, WV for internment.

Inclement Weather Policy:

In the case of inclement weather that would require the church to cancel any regularly scheduled activities, we will announce any closures on the church's facebook page, on FOX 5 television, and we will also record the message of closure on the church's phone answering service which you may access by calling 304-725-5917.

Community Dinner:

The next dinner will be held at the Zion Episcopal Parish House on Tuesday, January 31st at 6:00 p.m. Food assignments are as follows: A-F desserts; G-L casseroles; M-R meats; S-Z salads or veggies.

Spaghetti Dinner:

Good Shepherd Caregivers is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on January 13, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Shepherdstown Fire Hall. Menu will include spaghetti (with or without meatballs), salad, garlic bread, dessert, coffee and beverages. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children (children under 5 are free) and may be purchased at the door. Proceeds will benefit Good Shepherd's provision of free services for seniors and those with disabilities. For more information please call 304-876-3325.
