30 hour famine fun

Here are some photos from our 30 hour famine. We had 5 youth participate: Ashley Hall, Dylan Ceravelo, Sierra Jarcey, Carolyn Park and Caroline Fresch. Our adult chaperones and participants were Cheryl LaVagne, Kerri Sisk, Judy Ott, Donna Hall and Julie Ott. Jim Griffith stayed overnight with everyone. We took the kids out on a "scavenger hunt" around Charles Town. First we had one of Charles Town's finest come by in his police cruiser and we crammed the kids in the backseat and locked them in! We tried to get him to take Cheryl and Kerri, but he didn't want them. ha ha! Then, we piled into the church van and went to Edith Ryans and sang Christmas carols to her and Donna Coyle. Then we went to Sheetz and the kids had to wash the windshields or pump gas for customers. Julie Ott helped out with the gas pumping. Then we went to Martins to sing Jesus Loves Me to someone checking out. However, there wasn't anyone there, so Jim remembered he was supposed to bring milk home. So we all sang to Mr. Jim while he checked out! The best part was when we went to Walmart and convinced the night assistant manager Joe to play leapfrog with a bunch of us! He was such a good sport. But he wouldn't let us take any pictures in the store! :( We also had a ball at the church playing other games, such as hula hoop races, charades and jailbreak (a fun hide and go seek game in the dark).

The next morning we started cleaning up the church from all the construction dust. It took most of the day, but we had it ready for that night's festivities: The Night! Hope you are loving the pictures!
